Moving

I'm now in the process of moving my blog to my own domain, I had this idea for quite some time, and after the week my blog was offline, this idea grew, but yestarday at 4:00 am, I made the decision, I can't remember how I got the host and the domain, I just woke up today, with a hosting and a domain, I'm now transfering everything to my new host, (I'll publish when I'm done moving).
I also going to move my technical blog too, it's better to have everything under your control, not others.
I guess I need a lot of boxes, if you have any that might help :P.

Nothing

Actually, I'm not posting this because I have nothing to post about, I have written a set of posts and some key notes, so that I would write them when I have time and mood, but it seems that it's so hard.
I also put notes for three posts to put on my technical blog, but the same shit happens.

My Leg
So what have happened lately, oh yes, My leg is still stabilized, which had put me to the thing of working at home, and I can really tell you that it's not fun in anyway, my whole life is a mess right now, my hard movement led to a lot of shit, My house is so messed up that it's not suitable for human beings anymore, and also, no face to face socializing is killing me.

Love
Another thing that a couple of friends told me that I'm in love, I didn't know that actually, and I didn't expect the girl too, she told more than a person that I'm falling for her, and that she needs to be away for sometime, well what do you know, she 7 years older, and totally not my type, and I expected her to be mature enough, and as a friend of me that used to talk a lot, she should have known that I so damn picky that I don't get attracted to anyone.
what is it with girls, if you're nice to her, that doesn't mean you are falling for her, it's so annoying, like what I shouldn't have female friends unless I'm planning to have them as girlfriends or something, or not to be even nice to females, well the moment I heard the news, damn, the thing flashed to my mind, if every girl is like this one (which I thought that she was very mature) well this means I'm Casanova by now, damn I hate when this shit happens.

Music
Also, I got a new Collection of music, a very big list of Jazz songs, with some classic Rock and blues, I'm spending lots of time discovering new songs (for me), which are really cool, which leads to looking for other songs for the same artist and evaluate them too :P.
Movies
I went to the DVD store the other day, as I was passing by it, and at that moment that my to watch list is almost done, and I couldn't find a thing to watch, I went to home and rewrote my list, it's only 5 movies, I've watched since then 2 of them, I guess I should look for new movies to watch.
One of my friends who is also a Movie fan, explained to me that I have went to far with the movies thing, I should quit :P.

Work
And in those new days we are planning to lunch a new project, actually today it was supposed to be finished and ready for overall testing, but there was a little delay, part of it was my mistake, as I exceeded some deadlines for the tasks I should be doing, but it's not always something you can control, you know, I guess I've enhanced my multitasking skills a lot, by now I guess I could be working on three codes for three different projects, which are unrelated, at the same moment, I guess that's an accomplishment.

Well, I guess, this is what have to say right now So .....

University of Virginia Student Graduates in One Year

18-year-old David Banh recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in Physics and Mathematics, and an education paid for almost entirely by scholarships. What's truly amazing is that he did it in one year, bringing in 72 Advanced Placement credits, then taking 23 credits his fall semester, 37 credits his spring semester and 3 credits in the summer. His brief undergraduate career didn't leave him much time to explore college, so he's now working on his master's degree.

more on the story
It's really something, but is it really worth it, for me, I don't think so, I just hope to get back to my old days at the university

The 36th Anniversary of the passing of James Marshall Hendrix

Today Marks the 36th Anniversary for the passing of one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20th century.

In the early morning hours of September 18, 1970, Jimi Hendrix was found dead in the basement flat of the Samarkand Hotel at 22 Lansdowne Crescent in London. Hendrix died amid circumstances which have never been fully explained, and the exact details of his death will probably never be confirmed. He had spent the night with his German girlfriend, Monika Dannemann, and likely died in bed after drinking wine and taking nine Vesperax sleeping pills, then asphyxiating on his own vomit. For years, Dannemann publicly claimed that Hendrix was alive when placed in the back of the ambulance; however, her comments about that morning were often contradictory and confused, varying from interview to interview. Police and ambulance reports reveal that not only was Hendrix dead when they arrived on the scene, but he had been dead for some time, the apartment's front door was wide open, and the apartment itself empty. Following a libel case brought in 1996 by Hendrix's long-term British girlfriend Kathy Etchingham, Monika Dannemann allegedly took her own life.

A sad poem written by Hendrix that was found in the apartment has led some to believe that he committed suicide. More speculative is the belief that Hendrix was murdered—forcibly given the sleeping pills and wine, then asphyxiated with a scarf by professionals hired by manager Michael Jeffery. The most accepted and credible theory, however, is that he simply misjudged the potency of the sleeping pills, and asphyxiated in his sleep due to an inability to regain consciousness when he vomited.

Reports that Hendrix's tapes of the concept album Black Gold had been stolen from the London flat are in fact wrong: the tapes were handed to Mitch Mitchell by Jimi at the Isle of Wight Festival three weeks prior to his death. Hendrix's Greenwich Village apartment, however, was indeed plundered by an unknown series of vandals who stole numerous personal items, tapes, and countless pages of lyrics and poems, some of which have resurfaced in the hands of collectors or at auctions.

Widely recognized as one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20th century, Jimi Hendrix pioneered the explosive possibilities of the electric guitar. Hendrix's innovative style of combining fuzz, feedback and controlled distortion created a new musical form. Because he was unable to read or write music, it is nothing short of remarkable that Jimi Hendrix's meteoric rise in the music took place in just four short years. His musical language continues to influence a host of modern musicians, from George Clinton to Miles Davis, and Steve Vai to Jonny Lang.

Jimi Hendrix, born Johnny Allen Hendrix at 10:15 a.m. on November 27, 1942, at Seattle's King County Hospital, was later renamed James Marshall by his father, James "Al" Hendrix. Young Jimmy (as he was referred to at the time) took an interest in music, drawing influence from virtually every major artist at the time, including B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Holly, and Robert Johnson. Entirely self-taught, Jimmy's inability to read music made him concentrate even harder on the music he heard.
For Me I guess he deserves a moment of silence and spend the rest of the day influence by his music.

Broken Leg

After a week of my leg hurting me so much (for no reason), I went to a doctor, and it came out that it was broken, the problem is that I don't remember breaking it, or even hitting it with something, so he explained that this kind of fracture is called Stree Fracture, which is a result of overuse of the bone, it happens a lot to the athelets, specially tennis and Basketball players, and to the soldiers.
The thing is I'm not a soldier, and I don't play Tennis nor Basketball, I hardly play any kind of sports .....
"Do you walk a lot?", the doctor asked, "Yes", I answered, "Oh, well that is the reason". Walking is one of my hobbies, actully I love walking a lot, I don't do it to lose weight, to be more presice, none of the people I know walk as much as me.
Well, I guess this leads me to the question that I always hate, What is it with the human body? If you don't walk or play sports, you would have lots of health problems, if you do, you would have this Stress Fracture thing. and getting me back to teeth, you brush them twice a day, and you end up having problems in sleeping from their pain, and looking at animals, My parents have lots of cats, and a couple of dogs, I don't remember any of them ever brushed thier teeth, also I don't remember any of them having problems in thier teeth too.
So would someone explain to me what is it with the human body?

Warning - Too Dangerous Together

Just listening to one of these songs makes me high, what happens if I heard them all together. But be ware that this would effect you, only if you are a Blues listener, and adore Jimi Hendrix as much as I do.
Well, you think I'm kidding, well if you match the conditions above, try to listen to Once I Had a Woman, OK after you listened to it how do you feel, aren't you high already, Now if you are not high, well you don't need to continue, as you don't match the conditions, if you do, well be careful this can be extremely dangerous, it's preferable that one of the other type be with you - but of course he needs to shut up, cause these people can ruin everything - in case you needed help.
OK, now go to the second song, Red House, Man that really hurts, It's really a great one, it could make you high alone too.
So, you're still a live, ready for another shot, well go for the great Born Under a Bad Sign, this one is going to get you down, it's extremely dangerous, and you can get an overdose from it, especially after the other two songs.
Of course you can go for other songs after it, but your life might be in danger, so in case you wanted to listen to those 3 songs together put some other songs between them.
I almost took those three songs together yesterday, but a guy from the other type started nagging, and got me out of the mood :s.

What IF?

Well let's start by that History doesn't understand the question what if, like what if I didn't quit from my previous company, what if I didn't drink coffee this morning, what if I studied more before I went to the test, or what if the USSR didn't collapse? well things already happened, end of story.
Or how about the answer, the world wouldn't be the same, how not the same? this question has no answer. History has one dimension, and one Trend.
Well, this gets us to another topic, REGRET, e.g. I regret that I quited my previous work, oh really, and what did this made you, nothing, a better sentence would be, By quitting my previous work, I learned that I should appreciate the things I have, I'm not trying to be this positive guy, but it's a fact regret wont do you a thing, why?, cause things already happened, and you can't change them.
Everybody have done mistakes in his life, shouldn't they regret it? of course not, things that happened in your life made you who you are today, they taught you, they shaped you.
Now, lets assume that you can go back in history, you've built (or bought) your time machine, and you want to go back in history to change the mistakes you made, well the first thing is that this history is your future not your history, cause you've already done that (stupid ha?!), so if you want to go back in history, you should loose everything you took from that time till now, how is that, it's that you didn't gain any experience from what happened from the moment your going back to, till this moment, i.e. you don't have the conclusion that you should regret this thing, so you are going to do the same mistake again, and regret it once again.
OK, so I've done a mistake what should I do? well at first, if you are really convinced that it's a mistake, try to fix it, usually you wouldn't be able to, cause that is what regret is in the first place, OK now what?, LEARN from it. and stop crying like a baby, regret wont do you nothing.
Another Topic Pops up here, if I where in your place I would've done ..., stop the crap, the first thing you are not me, that's a fact, secondly if you were me you won't be in the exact same situation I were in, cause you where in another situation, that's history dude, OK what does that concludes us to ..., Everybody is the best to be himself, i.e. I'm the best man to be me, I don't mean that there aren't people better than me (although there are not :P kidding), better is a relational word, someone is better than some one in something specific, i.e. I'm better that the secretary in writing code, and for someone to be himself, nobody is better him.

Another Piece Of My Crap

Summer Of 2002

Love, Music, and Success, those were the titles I always remember that summer in, it was the glory summer of 2002, the best days of my life.
I really have some kind of depression every year in times like this, cause the only thing I see is the Summer of 2002, and when I look at my life right now, I feel a tear coming down on my chin.
In that summer, I tasted love for the first time of my life, I knew for the first time in my life that life is more beautiful than I could ever imagine. I knew for the first time that the smell of air in every morning is more beautiful when you are seeing her in that day. I knew for the first time that one person could make another meaning for your life, and the only meaning would be her.
Also, I can't forget music, Lot's of Jazz, and Bon Jovi (Comes with the lovers mood :D). Also spending nights playing music with my friend and roommate Baha, at that summer we discovered that the kitchen is the best place to sit, and enjoy our lives, I can't forget the nights we didn't count hours while we are playing music, specially that Marco polo song that we kept on playing it (and with it) over and over again.
Not forgetting My work with the UNFPA, and how that really affected my personality, and taught me a lot of stuff, and it was my highest scores at University that time (well it didn't mean much to me, but it was part of the party).
Also my great friends, can't forget anyone of them, all the group, it was a really nice group, but now everybody is in a corner of the earth, I can't believe that we might meet all once again :'(.
And the summer ended, and everything started to fall apart for me, and here I am with no love, no music, and almost no life.
If 1969 worth a song for Bryan Adams, 2002 worth all the Albums of a life for me.
Those were the best days of my life.

Trust No One

If you are a movie fan you would've heard this sentence a lot, well for me it was a little different, it was "TRUST NO ONES CODE", even though I believe in open source and stuff like this, but I had it in my mind for a long time, I wrote almost everything from scratch, I only use my code library.
well for quite sometime, I decided that I might be wrong, there exist people in this planet that are smart, and can do a lot of good job, and they can be trusted. I guess I had to learn the value of this rule the hard way.
everything worked fine, it was like magic, the library I used worked like magic, until the extensive testing time had came ...
and wow there was a little bug, so small, that rarely happen, but the system couldn't go while it's there, and it was in the library.
OK, let's fix the library, and who is the criminal that wrote that library, the whole library was built that this bug won't happen, it was spread all over the library, fixing the bug means changing the whole library, which is not all useful ...
and now I had to spend the night rebuilding parts of that system, I guess I learned my lesson, I would trust nobodies code anymore, I would only trust what my hands have done, but I learned it the hard way.

TRUST NO ONES CODE

Buy your self a new box

Inspired from a post written by my friend Samer ...
Thinking out of the box ..., I've heard it a lot in all of this training sessions I've been to, and how you should always think out of the box, and you should know that there is a lot of options out of the box ... etc., well in most of the cases thinking out of the box is a waste of time, as there is a lot of options, you can get lost through them easily, and end up trying to do something not related to the first problem, in most cases staying inside the box would solve your problems much faster and more efficient, you can get out another time if you want but the point is to solve the problem.
The main problem in thinking outside the box, is that you need someone inside the box to pull you back you need, as you start flying, and forget the whole box, or even worse, you get lost and don't know where the hell is that box.

What if the box is to small, so you can't think in it, but outside the box is so damn cold and wild, also you can't think there, what should you do? Well I guess you just need to buy a new box, big enough to think in it, and it's also safe and worm. I guess that is the solution, buy a brand new box. Also you can choose how it looks, how big it is, how is it from the inside ... etc. (of course you need money to do that).
well everybody enjoy your boxes.

Take some Myths, add some other and make a best selling book

Well, this was the thought I had when I was read the DaVinci Code By Dan Brown, a novel based on Myths, non of them are proved right, some ARE PROVED WRONG, and he makes facts out of them, good way to get money.
I just would like to mention some points from this book, which other people (who advised me to read it) thought that this book has told the untold truth.

The first point is regarding the Last Supper, when Leonardo Davinci painted it, he wanted to experiment a new style he had invented, the usual way to do such a painting was to make the plaster wet and then the painting is done on on the wet plaster which is called a Fresco (as Dan Brown claimed that this painting is), this style of painting is limited in it's colors and cannot be retouched, So Leonardo invented another style - Tempera (egg yolk and vinegar) plus oil painting ON dry plaster - so he could use more colors and redo portions if necessary. Unfortunately it was a disaster, the humidity was causing the paint to separate from the plaster on which it had been painted which made it fall of the plaster. Over the years, the piece has been vandalized and nearly fell apart completely.
A 20-year effort by art experts was made to recreate what they thought the painting must have looked like, so actually we don't know if the experts really fixed the painting or if they changed its meaning by making changes in color and detail. there is no way to tell.

The other point is regrading the Priory of Sion, well there was an organization called The ORDER of Zion in the middle ages, but Prieure du Sion actually started in 1956 as a joke, as four guys wanted to have some fun, and made a group and called it after a near by mountain, they've filled the proper papers, and the French government listed them as an organization in 1956. a member of this group André Bonhomme in 1996 said to the BBC
"The Priory of Sion doesn't exist anymore. We were never involved in any activities of a political nature. It was four friends who came together to have fun. We called ourselves the Priory of Sion because there was a mountain by the same name close-by. I haven't seen Pierre Plantard in over 20 years and I don't know what he's up to but he always had a great imagination. I don't know why people try to make such a big thing out of nothing."
However, Pierre Plantard was a con-man who went to jail for 6 months for his games. Back in 1942 he had formed the Order of Knighthood called the Alpha Galates, to take advantage of people. He decided to do the same thing with his new Sion group. While the group was really about low-cost housing and put out a little leaflet called "Circuit" to talk about it, Pierre decided to do bigger and better things with his newly formed group.
Pierre developed a whole storyline, claiming he was descended from kings and that there were secret documents in the Rennes-le-Château. Unfortunately for him, he ran completely afoul of the law in his forged documents and was brought to court. Here he admitted that they were forgeries. In fact, his genealogy that tied him to French kings was stolen word for word from a history article.

My last point I'd like to mention is Fibonacci and the golden ratio, well if you have took some math classes, and went back in history you would know that this ratio was known about since the Greeks.
If you don't remember math classes I would gladly point it out here.
PHI (Φ) the golden ratio has to do with spirals (like PI (π) and the circles), which is the solution to the equation X2 - X - 1 = 0, which can tell us that X2 = X+1, and as we can clearly see that x ≠ 0, we can easily note that 1/X = X-1. The Fibonacci sequence implies that each number is the sum of the two that came before it, if you divide a number by the one before it, you would start getting values closer and closer to PHI as you walk in the sequence which is something close to 1.618033, now with a little bit calculus, we can represent the Fibonacci sequence in the form of
f(n+2)= f(n+1)+f(n) => f(n+2)/f(n) = f(n) +1
if we imply that g(n) = f(n+1)/f(n) "The Golden Ratio" => g(n+1) = 1/g(n) + 1
now if we take the limit when n -> ∞ we'll have g(n+1) = g(n)
and the limit would be L = 1/L + 1 => L2 = L + 1 & 1/L = L -1 #

The point is that Fibonacci didn't discover this ratio, he just put a way to find it.
Also I've heard that "Fibonacci" Leonardo de Pisa of the family Bonacci named him self "Fibonacci" when he wrote his groundbreaking books in order to honor his father who had taken him as a young boy on his many travels; the name meaning "son of Bonacci". he was never intended to be called "Leonardo Fibonacci" as Dan Brown mentioned him.

A lot and a lot of other Myths, you can find combined in this novel, I guess I'm going to collect some Myths, and combine them with each other, maybe I code write a best selling book, who knows.

I just find this book a waste of time.

First Of June (Something New)

Well, it was a rough day, also a lot of new things were done.
First thing Maktoob.com launched their new Home Page, it's really nice, also the NoLimits thing where now you can take an unlimited storage for your email at maktoob, also by the end of the day also Maktoob-Women section (Beta Version) was launched too, it's really nice.
In the middle of the day I found that Ubuntu at last realesed their dapper version (I've been using it for about 2 months through all the alpha beta thing, also my CD's are on there way :P), well they've done a lot of good stuff in it.
In the end of the day I received an email from Zend.com informing me that Zend Studio Version 5.2 has been released too, I really love this software, it really makes my life easier.
Well I guess there is something new about this June ...

Absence

It's been ages since my last post, I don't consider this a post, but this is just to tell that I'm still alive, I've been so f****** busy, and all the things I wanted to post were depressing, that's why I didn't post any.
This period is not over, hope it end soon, cheerz

Back to Earth

Is it really Earth, is that really earth that I'm seeing, at last, after living the last couple of months on Mars, I guess it's temporarily over, I'm back to earth, I'm afraid that I have to go back again, well it all depends on the Acceptance testing (which is an unsuccessful attempt to find bugs). I hope that everything goes fine.
Well here I am again, on my beloved planet earth.

Quotes for the day

Do more than anyone expects, and pretty soon everyone will expect more.

If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts.
          -- Albert Einstein

Ogden's Law:
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Misery no longer loves company. Nowadays it insists on it.

It's no longer a question of staying healthy. It's a question of finding a sickness you like.

Once I finally figured out all of life's answers, they changed the questions.

Code the Page

Working, and listening to Metallica this what the result code be

On a long information highway, setting in my office
you can listen to the processor moaning out as one line code
you think about the script, or the code you wrote the night before

But your thoughts would soon be wandering the way they always do
When your working sixteen hours, and theres no much fun to do
And you don't feel much like working, you just wish the project was through

Here I am - in the office again
There I am - coding the stage
Here I go - playing geek again
There I go - code the page

So you walk into this balcony, strung out from the work
And you feel the eyes upon you, as you're shaking off the code
you pretend it doesn't bother you, but you just want to encode.

Yeah, most times you can't hear 'em talk, other times you can
All the same old clichés, is it a feature? is it a bug?
And you always seem outnumbered, you don’t dare code a patch
code your patch

Here I am - in the office again
There I am - coding the stage
Here I go - playing geek again
There I go - code the page

Oo-ooh, out there in the spotlight, you’re a million lines away
Every ounce of code you try to give away
As the sweat pours out your body like the code that you write, yeah

Later in the evening, you lie awake on your chair
With the echoes of the alerts ringing in your head
You smoke the day’s last cigarette, remembering what he said
What he said

He-ey

Yeah
And here I am - in the office again
There I am - coding the stage
Here I go - playing geek again
There I go - code the page
There I go - code the page
There I go, yeah, yeah
There I go, yeah, yeah
There I go, yeah
There I go, yeah
There I go, oo-oo-ooh
There I go
And I’m gone

I guess I'm going to release an album when this project is over :D

Memoirs with Alanis

Now I'm listening to one of the most beautiful songs I've heard, it "That I would be good" for Alanis Morissette, every time I hear it I remember some period of my life, I was without a job, broke, and so much depressed, I remember every time I hear this song the tears just wont stop falling, the only thing that she tells me that I would be good, well know I have a job, a good one, and not broke, but of course I don't have much money, just keeps me surviving, but I'm so damn depressed, for me I still believe that I would be good.
for those who are asking here is the lyrics of that song.

that I would be good even if I did nothing
that I would be good even if I got the thumbs down
that I would be good if I got and stayed sick
that I would be good even if I gained ten pounds

that I would be fine even if I went bankrupt
that I would be good if I lost my hair and my youth
that I would be great if I was no longer queen
that I would be grand if I was not all knowing

that I would be loved even when I numb myself
that I would be good even when I am overwhelmed
that I would be loved even when I was fuming
that I would be good even if I was clingy

that I would be good even if I lost sanity
that I would be good whether with or without you

Chain Letters

A typical chain letter consists of a message that attempts to induce the recipient to make a number of copies of the letter and then pass them on to one or more new recipients. A chain letter can be considered a type of meme, a self-replicating piece of information that uses a human host to distribute copies of itself. Common methods used by chain letters include emotionally manipulative stories, get-rich-quick pyramid schemes, and the exploitation of superstition to threaten the recipient with bad luck or even physical violence if he or she "breaks the chain" and refuses to adhere by the conditions set out by the letter.
So, let's define "chain letter". A chain letter is ANY e-mail that contains instructions to "forward this out" or "forward this to everyone you know" or anything else of that nature. Who creates chain letters? Now you might want to think that when you get an e-mail telling you there's some sick child with cancer and they will receive $0.03 for every time this e-mail gets forwarded out, in fact the mental image may just tug at your heart strings so bad that you forward it to other news or joke lists that you're on, in hopes of spreading the word and bring hope to this poor kid.

Well, guys, the thing I hate more than receiving SPAM, is receiving Chain Letters, it usually has a big size, as everybody in the whole stupid part of the earth, has forwarded it to somebody else who has forwarded it to another body to ..... and forwarded it to me.
Alright, there is no sick girl whom AOL has paid a fu***** cent for each one receiving a damn message, Hotmail is not going to delete your account if you don't send this message, (they can know when was the last time you logged in to make sure you are using it), and Bill Gates is not throwing money over anybody, and you wont get a free mobile, or a free shit or anything. you are not going to be rich or anything.
Chain Messages are used by spammers, as they collect as much emails as they want throw this thing, imagine a single chain message going around, and then getting back to the same spammer who sent it, how many emails he would've received. What could happen if people were wise enough not send this shit all around? do you enjoy having this FREE SOFTWARE, or VIAGRA, or stupid things going around in you're mailbox? if no, then stop forwarding this damn emails.
if you are not convinced yet, well then enjoy your life, but don't send me any stupid chain message.

Birthday Meme

While wasting some time on the Internet, I found this here and here, It kind of excited me.

Go to Wikipedia. In the Search box, type your birth month and day (but not year). List three events that happened on your birthday. List two important birthdays and one interesting death. Post this in your journal.

Three events:
1492 - Christopher Columbus lands in Cuba.
1868 - Thomas Edison applied for his first patent, the electric vote recorder.
1981 - The heavy metal band Metallica is founded in San Francisco. (I used to listen to this band, when I enjoyed Heavy Metal, I still listen to some of there songs)

Two birthdays:
1955 - Bill Gates, American software pioneer. (It doesn't mean anything, I'm still an open source guy).
1967 - Julia Roberts, American actress. (Don't you just love her)

One death:
1973 - Taha Hussein, Egyptian writer (b. 1889)

Our Slavery in the 21st Century

"Finish it by the date, and you will all get a big bonus" he said. Poison was written all over these words, we knew that it was impossible, but we had hope, we all needed that money so bad to do all what it takes to do it.
The last days were like living in HELL, no sleep, no life, nothing but work. and all those obstacles were thrown in our way, we tried to pass them all, we wanted to finish it, but now it's over, and it's all our fault.
Well, I'm not going to blame anybody but myself, I won't gamble on my life again. I remember in the hours of the dawn yesterday, when all hope was gone, the only thing that I wanted is to throw everything and to go home, but when I looked in your eyes, with the hope is still in them, I knew I've been a source of depression for you, but the only thing that kept me was you, I didn't give a shit about that stupid bonus, I wanted to go on for you guys.
You know, when I take a positive look on what happened, the only thing that I see is that we were a team, and a hell of a team we were, we've held each other when we were down, we helped each other in every possible way, well thank you guys, I've never felt that I've been in a team, as much as I felt it with you, thanks.
In the end, I'm just down, I'm feeling so f****** down.

Men & Women

Lately I read some posts either against women, or against men (we even had a discussion in the JP meeting -sorry I came late-), so that is why I'm writing.
Well there are several misunderstandings in this point, the first one, if you want to defend something, you don't have to fight others, you can just stick to the defending part, another one is the misunderstanding of equalities, Men and women were never equal, and will never be, or there wouldn't have been women or men, (it's the natures law), equality always comes in the rights, they are both humans, they deserve to have equal rights as humans.
In a society like ours, women have a lot of trouble living with their rights, there parents are against it, the society is against it, and sometimes the law is against it.
An example of what I see the situation, is like two brothers, one can do anything he likes (he has all the chocolate), and another one always blamed, and everybody loves the other one more than him, what happens here is that the second child starts hating the first one, and the first one starts to believe that he is better than the second one.
They say that women are less intelligent than men, well if you take a kid, and lock him in a room, for all his life, and take another kid and let him play go out, and do a lot of things, in the end, you would have a kid that is less intelligent, and maybe (MAYBE) a smart one, well women in our society are always locked in the room, and surprisingly a lot of them are smarter than a lot of men, which proves that women can be smart, now imagine how smart could that woman be if she wasn't locked in the room, if she could take her own choices when she was young (without a big revolution in the house), I guess we would have genius women hanging around.
But, in the end this doesn't mean that they should fight men, all men, well how many mothers ruined her daughters life, how many women criticized with no mercy any movement of a woman to liberate her self, how about not fighting anyone right now, how about we just start of liberating our selves without hurting anyone (except those who try to steal it).
And for those who are against women, well imagine the world without women, well, if you want it in the right path, women can rule us without us knowing, or even with our approval.
I just wish that all of this crap can end, and we start living like humans.

Kubuntu.de Protestwoche

To calrify the seriosness of the situation, kubuntu.de will be offline for one week beginning as from Monday, 10.04.2006 ...

Kubuntu.de Started a Protest Week
This website, including the forum, the mailing lists and the respective IRC channels (#kubuntu-de and #kubuntu-de-team) has one aim: to support the community, to offer a platform to the users of Kubuntu and, last but not least, to boost the Kubuntu-project so as to make it an outstanding distribution.

I just recieved this note from LinuxToday, well it so sad to see an opensource project reaches this point, but I'm speachless here.

Another Definition of a Holiday

Well if you remember my first definition to a holiday, well I guess I have another one:

A holiday is the day that you can go to work late, and you can have lunch (Falafel) break whenever you like, whereas a working day is the day that you have to go to work early, and you have to take your falafel break only at a specific time, if you didn't take it, el 3awad b salamtak

Crash

A Brentwood housewife and her DA husband. A Persian storeowner. Two police detectives, who are also lovers. A black television director and his wife. A Mexican locksmith. Two car-jackers. A rookie cop. A middle-aged Korean couple. They all live in Los Angeles. And, in the next 36 hours, they will all collide.
Great Movie, Great Soundtrack, Deserves the Oscar, what can I say more? At last I had the chance to watch it, it’s really great.
This movie talks about the racism that the Americans (and not just them, it’s everywhere) are living. It talks about those raciest by choice, and others who had to be. I’m not going to talk a lot about it, I prefer that you see it.

The Machines Gone Crazy

Man, the tears are almost in my eyes. Today when I reached home, I found that the wind had made miseries in my house, it threw everything, it looked like an earthquake hit the place. After tidying up a little bit, I turned on the computer, and damn, the monitor didn't work, "there might be something with the cable", I thought, so I tried changing the power cable, but with no use, the situation is still the same, so I approached the monitor, and stuck my nose into it's back, "Damn!", I said, "The f****** monitor has burned, she's f****** dead", game over.
After 12 years of loyalty, and being the perfect monitor any man wants, it's the end, she's dead, she never had any problem of any kind, My GoldStar 1462GN is dead. Also given the fact that I'm almost bankrupt, I can't afford to bye a new one now.
So, I turned on the fan, to change the air in the room, after the smell of the dead, and BOOOM!, the fan turned into 6 pieces, flying all over the place, I couldn't explain what happened.
I was afraid to use any of the other machines, as I cannot afford another dead in my house, so I picked up my notebook, to write anything, just doing something, I had 4 pens, and yes, as expected, none of them wrote anything.
AAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhh, what the hell is going on today, everything is going crazy, aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!

Programming Languages, are they spoken

Well, since a long time ago, I started programming, I used to think in plain English, then start translating it to the programming language wanted.
Nowadays, I guess, I think using that language, sometimes, I speak it. a week ago a colleague asked for my help about an issue, I just grab the keyboard, and started writing, (it was a little complicated thing), when I finished, I looked at it, and told him there is an error here, this won't run, (I just didn't knew where did that inspiration came from), then we both started looking in the code about what is wrong, and vola; a semicolon was missing (I just can't explain what happened).
Usually, if you enter my office, you would find me discussing an issue with my office mate, you would find us talking code, (usually PHP), we speak that language.
well after that most of my life is with my computer writing code, i guess, maybe in one day I would forget English (and Arabic) and just talking PHP.
A friend of mine suggests that I shouldn't see a computer for a couple of days, and start spending less time with computers, (I just can't help it).

Sign of Thyme

Yesterday, after finishing the process of watching The Waiting (Al-Entzar) - A Palestinian movie which was really great it was played at Zara Expo Auditorium – Grand Hyatt Amman-, we headed directly to the Royal Cultural Center, to watch Sign of Thyme band playing there album Like All People.
I really liked the concert, it was nice, it's the first time for me to see this band, it's a group of 5, Yacoub Abu Ghosh (Bass Guitar), Ahmad Barakat (Oud), Tareq Abu Kweik (Drums), Saeb Omari (Classical Guitar), and Ali Dabbagh (Percussion).
I really love this guy called Yacoub, he is the best Bass player I've ever seen from Jordan, he is even better than me. (Kidding :P, No body is better than me, Kidding Again :P), He really played A great Bass (I loved his 6 Strings Bass), but there was a little problems for him, I think that the Amplifier he used wasn't for a Bass, it's like when Playing Bass on a guitar amp, when he goes to low levels, the sound just gets dizzy, I hope that he can buy a new amp :). other thing When he went out on solos, well his solos were not the best. for me it felt like, I don't have anything to say, I'm just trying to impress you, it was really empty.
Well the drummer (Tareq) and the percussionist (Ali) was great, they just come into there place, they did a great job. And the guitarist (Saeb) was so unlucky with the sound system, his playing was not heard, but he really played great, This Band really need a good sound engineer, Regarding the Oud player (Ahmad), well, I didn't like it much, I don't know, maybe because it's hard for an Oud player to satisfy me, but I didn't feel any sense in his playing, sorry man.
Other than that the concert was really great, I really loved there song Asma ( it's not released yet :( ), and I hated there version of Around Midnight, Maybe cause I heard Miles Davis Version.
Hope the best for Jordanian bands.
By the way, these guys also need to fix there website :P

PHP Programmer Vs. .NET Programmer

1st: could you please give me the code that you wrote that does this and that?
PHP Programmer: Sure, I'll send it to you right away, but be careful, as ..., and regrading ... etc.

1st: could you please give me the function you wrote that does this and that?
.NET Programmer: What?! I've spent a lot of time doing it, do you expect me just to give it to you? write your own code buddy.

Well, it's not only the PHP programmers (almost all the programmers that work on an open source platforms).

And there are exceptions regrading this situation, in both side. but I've specified here cause this is what happened in front of me.
What Era are these people still living in. like I'm asking you to give me the source of some great art. I don't need your stupid code, there are a lot of open source programmers who are willing to help (even some .Net Programmers)
